Eye Have a Dream...

Hey guys ~ Here's a quick sketch using pencil-sketch, ink, and an airbrush brush style. I titled this "Eye Have a Dream" because if you look closely at the pupil of the eye, you can see a faint outline of skyscrapers, birds, and a sun. This city-like landscape symbolizes the dream and future that we all have.

I was inspired to draw this while reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. It's a memoir describing the countless adventures and experiences of growing up as a child. Jeannette talks about her Glass Castle, a dream shared by the Walls family, but especially by her Father and herself. The Walls family share their dreams and hopes, and this is what inspired me to draw this.

Enjoy!

Navajo

Hey guys! So I haven't been able to post a lot due to finals and school but now that I'm finally on summer break I'll definitely be drawing more! I have a lot of sketches in my sketchbook and I just need to polish them up to share with you :)

In this drawing I tried to focus on shadows, colors, and depth. I titled this piece "Navajo" because I was inspired by a picture I saw in a magazine of a young Navajo girl. The tans, orange, and navy colors are all incorporated in the works of the Navajo people such as their intricate rugs and woven shawls.

I hope you like it!
